I LOVE Michael in that new FOX TV sitcom THE RETURN OF JEZEBEL JAMES which stars Parker Posey and Lauren Ambrose, with the sensational Dianne Wiest as their mother. Michael plays Posey's assistant, Buddy.

Well... with a cast that featured the talents of Parker Posey, Lauren Ambrose, Dianne Wiest, Dana Ivey and the sensational Michael Arden -- of course it couldn't last.
Time to burn these surviving episodes onto DVD for posterity.
Thanks for the heads-up. At least LIPSTICK JUNGLE will be returning next season. Whoo-hoo!

Posted: 3/25/08 at 8:20pmI love "The Return of Jezebel James" too. I can't believe it got cancelled already! I mean, I know it had a horrible time slot, but it's already cancelled? That sucks. It did have so many talented people in the cast.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

THE RETURN OF JEZEBEL was a disaster. Michael Arden and Lauren Ambrose almost made it bearable, but not enough.
I won't be seeing him in JUNO but it'd be great to catch him on Broadway whenever he comes back.

Posted: 3/26/08 at 12:20amBased on this thread I watched the show...what a train wreck. Michael Arden was by far the best part, because he actually had a sense for comedy (and his stuff was slightly better written). Definitely an example of rising above the material.

in OTHER Michael Arden news...
he's currently writing the book for a new comedy musical (think Wedding Crashers meets 40 year-old virgin) which is ultimately aiming for Broadway.
he is working with two young fresh composers and will feature a very pop/rock score, kind of like a sophisticated version of "Wedding Singer" except better.
it's still in the raw stages but I heard that Kevin (McCollum) and Jeffery (Sellers) are going to give it legs to walk on.

Posted: 3/26/08 at 10:15amI watched about three minutes of Jezebel James, and the show was terrible. Good thing it got canceled, I hate to see people out of work, but it was only picked up by FOX because of the writers strike and they had some episodes in the can.
