Just FYI. I'm at the matinee. More later.

Ah exciting!! This is the first time he's gone on for that role, right? Looking forward to a review!
Yes, this is Berry's first time on in this track. He has played Dan before.

I wonder if he'll go on tonight. Might try to see him if he does.

This leaves Adam Chanler Berat as the last cast member with perfect attendance.

I saw Michael as thr Dr. in Washington D.C. and he was great! He brought a lot to the role. He seemed to fit it perfectly. I wish him all the best today.
I wish I'd known earlier so I could have gotten in line at 4am, damn.
In a more serious tone, best of lucks to him

And he's literally NEVER been out...correct? Not at 2nd Stage, Arena, or B'way? That is seriously impressive.

It'll be the first time here. He did in DC I believe...or else he'd just rehearsed it a lot. I heard very good things from the cast about his doctors. Wish I could be there! NOW I wish I'd skipped church when I saw that the line wasn't that bad for a Sunday this morning.
I saw a Henry understudy (Corey Boardman) at 2nd Stage.

I saw him twice as Dr. Madden/Dr. Fine on a Sunday during the Arena Stage run. His was the strongest performance of the four actors I've seen in the role.
Is he on tonight?
As I left the theater, they hadn't taken down his name from the understudy board. So he may be going on tonight as well.

He was wonderful, really. Had very distinctive characters for both Madden and Fine. His voice was strong and he had a more clinical take on Madden than Louis but it worked. The rest of the cast was wonderful as usual...they just keep growing in their roles.

The only person I wasn't crazy about was Kyle Dean. He was fine, don't get me wrong, but I still think they've yet to cast a Gabe who totally aces the part. Aaron was much better but still nothing spectacular and the more I think about it the more I think the part might be the problem and not the people playing it. Its a really hard role to wrap your head around so I give props to both Kyle Dean and Aaron for doing so.

The mezzanine was about 85-90% full, didn't get to see the Orchestra. Heard people raving about it as they left and heard others who were underwhelmed. It was a very interesting group of theatergoers today...they laughed politely at the real jokes but lost their sh*t laughing at things that weren't meant to be funny at all. Weird.

Well, at any rate, the show was wonderful and Berry was very, very good. I heard people around me say "if this is the understudy, I'd love to see the guy who really plays the part! This guys great!". Glad to see him ace the role after hearing not such great things about him as Dan.

Side note: He looked an awful lot like Gabriel Byrne's IN TREATMENT character. Ironic.

I was there too. Michael grew on me throughout the show. I think I had to get used to the facts that he is (or looks) much older than Louis and that his singing voice is very different than Louis's (There is something about Louis's voice that I just love and I can't put my finger on it).

I did wind up liking Michael and finding him very believable as a therapist who truly cares about Diana.

I also noticed the audience was a bit interesting. They didn't laugh much where there is usually loud laughter and laughed a few times I wouldn't have expected it. They also applauded after "Now go to your dance" and "Hey #3" which I've only seen happen once or twice before.

The orchestra was pretty full, but there were very side seats and rear side and center seats that were empty.

This is a bit of a threadjack, but can I just say how incredibly jealous I am of all ya'll in New York who can go see this show (and others) whenever you want? lol. Glad to hear Michael Berry did a good job!
He did indeed go on tonight as well and I loved him. Really, really great.
