Despite how crazy I might seem, watch this video. He still has the respect to not officially review the show because it's not open yet. He admits he's seen it, but does not give a review. Just him and the reporters rationally talking about this irrational show.

Michael Riedel made many valid points. He seems to be more realistic about the show than Julie Taymor and the producers of "Spiderman." from RC in Austin, Texas
Despite how crazy I might seem, watch this video.
"Seem"? I think you're the only one calling that into question.
But see, Michael has been against it from the beginning.
Before he even saw it.
So this means nothing except another crazy post from DLMM.

He's not talking about the show being bad! He's talking about actor safety! With two people who are not involved with the show!
They should be shut down!

The problem with people who have it in for a show before the first preview is that if and when they have legitimate points, their credibility is out the window. Like Riedel and DMM.

That makes no sense whatsoever! There is a long list of reasons for people to be against the show. Most of these reasons happened BEFORE the first preview. Technically the first preview should have been February 25th! This is enough cause for people to have hatred towards the show before it's actual first preview.
Riedel speaks rationally with these two reporters on the show. But because he's found other reasons to be against it, nothing he says is credible. That is ridiculous!

And THAT is what makes no sense whatsoever.

Not to mention - who cares what Riedel and two people NOT involved in the show say?
I'm sorry, but I think the only people to ask are those who ARE involved (don't really care about Alice Ripley's opinion, either).
And, maybe the question should be "Should the show you're currently in, and which is paying your bills through this Christmas season, and into the future, at the moment, be shut down? Would you like to be unemployed 3 days before Christmas?"
Seriously - all I see on here is the opinion of people who aren't involved - which for me means nothing.
And I see DLMM as a crazy person standing on a street corner, yelling to anyone who glances at him that HE MUST BE LISTENED TO, AT ALL COSTS!

What the hell? What do you do for a living? If you found that it could possibly put you in a hospital or take your life, would you not speak up?
That kind of mentality is disgusting. Scaring actors into thinking that they have to PUT THEIR LIVES AT STAKE to keep a job through the Holidays?!?!?!
BROADWAY SHOULDN'T BE PUTTING PEOPLE'S LIVES IN DANGER. PERIOD!
Then what about all of those people who work on oil rigs, or as police officers, or fire fighters?
YOU MAKE NO SENSE CRAZY MAN!
I thought Natalie Mendoza was already back in the show.

The comparisons in these Spider-Man threads border on the absurd. The above examples are considered high risk jobs. Performing on Broadway is not.

Thank you. My brand of crazy might be out there, but so is hers.

This is similar to the boy who cried wolf. Riedel has been talking smack from the beginning, now that he has a genuine point to make, I don't really care what he has to say. CNN really should not have gone to a gossip columnist for an opinion.

Because everyone else is still supporting Taymor's madness.
Audience members are buying tickets now because they hope to see someone injured during the live performance:
"I’d quite enjoy it if someone would have an injury," she said, not joking. "It would be quite exciting. I’d be on the edge of my seat."

Welcome to the new Broadway. Let's just put Broadway actors in cages and find interesting ways to kill them.
Riedel is a moron and I can not take anything he says seriously. To say "Kids are buying tickets to this to see Jackass live..." Come on. Any valid points the man has are thrown out the window when he makes childish comments like that. That man disgusts me.

Read the article above. And the woman quoted is 38. Everyone wants to see people injured.
No, not everyone. People who are sick and twisted want to see people injured (coughMIKERIEDELcough). The way that he joked about someone dying next....its disgusting. I do not wish to see people injured or getting themselves hurt.

You should talk to the press then. Because Kristen did. And she wants someone to get boo boos during the show.
"I’d quite enjoy it if someone would have an injury," she said, not joking. "It would be quite exciting. I’d be on the edge of my seat."
You're right! This must be the first time human beings have sought out macabre thrills to quench their sadistic appetites! Julie Taymor is more of a visionary than we thought!
There is simply NO WAY the news could be sensationalizing the events. It just can't happen.

I hope you had a glad rag handy when you typed that.
Who the heck is Kristen?
