Does it start tomorrow or when the show officially opens? Anyone know where I can find info? It wasn't on Playbill's usual lottery page.
Did this really need its own thread?
Playbill doesn't keep as up-to-date as it should. Check my site: http://www.broadwayforbrokepeople.com . I try to stay as current as possible.
The sign outside the box office with the details for lottery didn't say anything about opening night, so it should start with the first preview tomorrow night.
It starts when the first preview starts.
I was at the lotto for West Side Story the other day, and they had this young girl draw and call names. One of the people who works at The Palace who was hanging around during lotto time said that they were having her do it tonight that way she would know what to do when she starts the Million Dollar Quartet lotto in a couple of days.
Has anyone tried the lotto lately? I think I remember hearing a few weeks back that there usually were more tickets than entrants which, judging by my past luck with lottos, is about my only shot of winning!
Hey there,
I went this Saturday night just gone and everyone who entered got in easily, and there were tickets to spare.
Seems pretty easy to get in...I was the only person there under 45 I reckon.
All the best!
Thanks, tim! I'm curious, but not exactly $75+ curious.
Same! Hoping to try this weekend. Where are the lotto seats usually?
Absolutely - front row. I was centre. It ROCKS. Enjoy!

Does anyone know if lottery crowds have proliferated at MDQ since the Tony nominations were announced? Is it still pretty much of a sure thing, even on a Sat. matinee? Thanks.
it's still pretty much a sure thing. i just did the lottery for my 3rd time today, i've only done it on saturday matinees and i've gotten seated (along everyone else there)each time (yes, i've seen it 3 times, i actually love this show and it's my favorite)
Just did it tonight and there were 19 people there, so everybody got tickets (I got the last ticket). If everybody who was there won on the Saturday Night performance just a few days after they received their Tony nominations, I can't imagine a time when this ISN'T a sure thing.

My friend and I won lottery spots this afternoon. I think everyone who tried got one, so it worked out perfectly. And yes, it's the first row. (Actually, one woman was uncomfortable in that seat and instead took a seat several rows back.)
was charmed by the show, especially Levi Kreis, whose charisma just oozes. Elvis who? Carl what? Johnny which? The 25 percent of the quartet you want to see is Jerry Lee as played by Kreis. No wonder he's Tony nominated.
