Milwaukee's Melody Top Theatre

Hello from Wisconsin! I recently launched my online tribute site to Milwaukee's Melody Top Theatre. The theatre has been gone for 23 years, but I would like to hear from anyone who has memories of the shows and stars that played the venue. Thank you for your comment, MusicSnob1. Although Melody Top was located in Milwaukee, many names from Broadway worked there. Both Tommy Tune and Michael Bennett started their careers at Melody Top in the 1960s. And one of Broadway's current stars, Christine Ebersole, played the leads in both EVITA and MY FAIR LADY at Melody Top. I think many people who have a passion for Broadway will find my site interesting. Take a look -- there is always something new to learn about musical theater!

I saw two shows at Melody Top, both in 1980: The Wiz with Irene Cara and Ira Hawkins, and Chicago with Robert Mandan as Billy Flynn and Louisa Flanningam as Velma. Nice memories, especially of the latter (I had the serious hots for Louisa!).
