I wish I knew. I just listened to her clip of "September Song" on Amazon and it gave me chills.

She was in Pippin last year in Seattle. The only good thing about that horrible production. She stopped the show.

As good as Streisand was in FG, Hines was probably better suited to play the Fanny Brice role as she was more of a comic actress & her voice was more than adequate

She was an absolutely dreadful Dolly Levi. She rushed through her lines and missed 90% of the role's humor.
There was someone else who auditioned for that very same role in that very same production who would have been stellar in the role. Dammit!!!!!!!!!!!

My mother always said Mimi Hines was just as good in Funny Girl as Barbra, only Barbra got famous and Mimi married Phil Ford.

I don't know which Mimi Hines CD you're discussing but there is a CD on the Cabaret label (Number 5017-2) that is comprised of 2 of the LPs that she released.
