I'm auditioning for Miss Hannigan and was trying to find a song low enough. I've got a wide range and I was thinking of the song "When You're Good to Mamma" from "Chicago". I was going for a real deep character song. Do you think my choice is alright? If there are any suggestions, I'd love to hear them! Thank you!
I am a bagel on a plateful of onion rolls. If you know what I'm talking about, good. If you don't, you're on your own!
one thing you might do is any song that Dorothy Loudon did, which would definitely be in the range for Miss Hannigan. When You're Good to Mama is a song that I have always felt a bit dull. Here are my suggestions for things that she did and which might make some good comedic turns: "Broadway Baby" and "Losing My Mind". I love the idea of LMM especially (done comedically). Good luck!
On her Broadway Baby album, she sang "Bobo's" from The Act- it is not an extremely well known song, but very upbeat with some great lines- its something different that if done really well may make you stand out!
