So, I was listening to "I'd Give My Life For You" and I was wondering about this part:

"And in one perfect night
when the stars burned like new,
I knew what I must do"

Is she implying that she needed to make love?
Sorry for asking such a stupid question. Maybe it's because of the time.

'night!

"I knew what I must do" refers to her knowing that she must give her life for Tam, if she has to do so.

Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!
