Hey everyone.
The North American 'Miss Saigon' touring production is coming to my area soon and, although my grandmother has already bought the tickets for me and her, I was wondering what to expect. This show came out before I became interested in all things Broadway so you're comments will really help. Thanks!

Hope that helps.
hey,
i saw that touring version last year. it is not as extravagent as the broadway version (how could it be- you just cant recreate that hellicopter effect on tour) but some of the performances were first-rate. some people love miss siagon, some hate it, im somewhere in between. it has some great music in it, but it just doesnt do it for me as a hole. but if you enjoy war movies, and musicals, you should like it, its kind of a cross between the two. the theme is definetly the tragedy of war, how it pulls people apart and such.
I saw the show 2 times this January and I thought it was simply fabulous. Scaled down, of course, but I thought there were benefits to that. Rather than waiting for the big exciting helicopter to fly, I found myself feeling more involved with the characters and their stories. I saw Jennifer Paz as Kim both times, and I thought she was absolutely incredible. The rest of the cast was incredible, and the production as a whole was really excellent. I thought it was an awesome way to bring a show (which I happen to love, although I am aware there are more than a few "haters" out there) like this to stages around the continent.
