I'm at MedCare on 42nd right now because my friend is super sick. We were supposed to be seeing DEH at 2pm. Do theaters typically do anything to help in situations like this?

They are under no obligation to do so. Some will try, but it usually depends on how well a show is selling. The less successful, the better chance you have (in most cases).
The only suggestion is to go to the box office when you are able to, with tickets in hand, and explain the situation and see if there is anything that can be done.

I'd get something timestamped from MedCare that backs up your story, too, if you can.

I missed a show and their policy was that to bring the ticket to the box office for any tues-thurs performance and they would let me in before the show starts (if it isn't sold out obviously). Call the box office, they will give you some info.
