I'm coming into the city the Monday before Thanksgiving and need some recommendations. I was leaning towards The Color Purple, but Cynthia will be out. Any ideas? And remember, not everything has a show that night.

Out of those, assuming that Cynthia is out, I would choose Something Rotten of the ones I've seen and In Transit as one I want to see. People have been raving about Dear Evan Hanson though. Maybe Color Purple understudies would still be great though.

Well I'm obviously a theatre junkie, so I'll see anything, but the two I'll be with are novices. I wasn't sure if The Color Purple was still worth it without Cynthia. They both seemed interested in Something Rotten.
