Posted: 7/28/09 at 2:53pmSo im definitly not the best at picking monolouges. Its probably my weakest point currently as a theatre student. I was wondering if anyone has some good suggestions for me. I currently have an audition a month from now for Diary of Anne Frank (For Peter) so if you have some good ones for that I'd greatly apreciate it. Im male and an age range of 16-24) Thanks everyone!

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I used to keep Our Town on hand at auditions because of all the good monologues in it. This might be a goog one for you:

Listen, Emily, I?m going to tell you why I?m not going to Agricultural School. I think once you?ve found a person you?re very fond of ? I mean a person who?s fond of you, too, and who likes you well enough to be interested in your character ? Well, I think that?s just as important as college is, and even more so. That?s what I think. (His head down. Squirming.) Emily, if I do improve, and make a big change, - would you be ? I mean, could you be??
