Ick. I absolutely love this movie, but don't understand how it would work as a stage musical. It has a sweetness and subtlety that would be totally lost on stage. Please tell me this isn't true.

i wish something like this could be onstage -- not so much as a traditional musical -- but a play with music ( seems all bollywood films have musical numbers)
