I'd bet Justin Guarini is kicking himself for not getting into Lion King... anyone know who he was supposed to play?

I think Justin was supposed to play Simba in Lion King. He has studied theater, sings, dances, plays piano and guitar, and has been performing since the age of 4.
I saw him perform at Vassar in Good Vibrations and he was fantastic! Every dance movement exact, strong, and precise and done with incredible grace.(and sex appeal!) Justin has tremendous charisma and stage presence and he is fascinating to watch. The whole cast was great, the music was great, the dancing was great and everyone had such a fun time!
As for your question. Justin has said in posts and interviews that he has no regrets. He's learned he was stronger than he ever thought he was. He is confident in his talent. He will work hard to prove it one person at a time, if he has to. He loves to perform, he loves his fans, and now he is coming back to where he belongs.
Broadway! And his fans will be there to welcome him!

congrats to justin good news!

i'm not a lion king fan and my mom thought it was good, but not what she normally would go see!

i actually like this Good Vibrations show from the way it was described by fans from Vassar! i either like fun shows like GV or i like shows like Phantom and Le miserable!
personally, i think justin made the right choice doing Idol ! sure he had ups and downs, but overall he learned more in only 2 years that might have taken 10 years to learn so it was a crash course, but i think will prepare him for life he is a better person for all he has gone thru and a much wiser person also!

as they say it all happens for the reason and god has a plan that is greater then we could ever understand! Justin's mom was diagnosed out in LA during visiting him at Idol and that may not have happened if he were not in LA! i think she is recovered which is good!

i'm glad Justin was on Idol, i would have never seen Lion king i am not that interested in that show! I also love my Justin Cd and i get soo much enjoyment out of it and Justin was just soo great on Ai-1 he really helped me when i had major health issues at that time and what a fresh breath of Air Justin was he lit up that TV like a Christmas tree he was just soo much fun! LOL>> Justin is better then any doctor could ever do for me that is for sure!

i can't go see it girls i am in calif, and i still have health issues and can not travel, so please you all will have to really fill me in and post some great stuff on this board and also i'm sure on Justin boards! i wish i could go, but i can't! maybe they go on tour? i have no idea how that works? i'm still excited about it and know their will be pictures and fun stuff like mp3's etc..lol..

by the way Justin's CD is still avail. on Amazon.com not sure where else, but i do swear that it's worth getting it's good and everyone that hears my cd really loves Justin! he has an awesome recording voice and a very jazzy old school style much like a Crooner! i think Rca sold about all that they made of his CD 150,000 they never distributed his cd too much so he could not sell more then they Made! he could have sold more if they made more and released a Video and single which they never did!

Rca sabatoged Justin on purpose no doubt about it! but in either case there is some copies on amazon.com so if anyone does like Justin at all from this show or from idol then do get his Cd i guarentee you will like it or your money back!

P.s...it's Justin's Birthday on OCT 28th i believe and that is just next week! what a nice birthday present for Justin to be in this show he seemed soo happy about this show!

Justin is also on a NEW TV show called Film Fakers on AMC cable channel and his episode he is in Airs on Nov. 24th it is a Reality show Prank show and u can read more about it on Justin websites, Justin is in on the prank and rumor is it is a very funny show!

CONGRATS TO JIM...I THINK GOOD VIBRATIONS WILL BE MORE FUN THEN HAIR SPAY OR MOMMA MIA FROM THE REVIEWS FROM VASSAR THIS SHOW MIGHT BE A LOAD OF FUN!

PLUS THE GUYS IN GOOD VIBRATIONS SEEM TO TAKE OFF THEIR SHIRTS AND DANCING SO I AM ALL FOR THAT UNO! LOL... I SEEN A PICTURE OF JUSTIN GUARINI IN VASSAR ON HIS SITE AND OMG THE GUY IS RIPPED WITH AN 8 PACK ! LOL... THE OTHER GUY NEXT TO HIM WAS HOT ALSO! LOL..

My friend got three callbacks for the show, and I was really crossing my fingers for him to be cast in it (it would've been his first broadway show), but it's been a week and he hasn't heard back, so I guess he didn't get it. Oh well. It still looks like it'll be a fun show!

oh adoannie...i hope your friend makes it in the show they still might hear something it seems that some of the cast has not been announced yet! good luck to them...

Thank You JJSugar, I hope he makes it, too! He got 3 or 4 callbacks, but he thinks that the guy he was up against had a better chance than him. He felt the other guy was a better dancer and had the surfer look, while my friend doesn't exactly have the blonde/blue eyed surfer look. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed though!

I found the following on Brian Wilson's web site:

"Good Vibrations" will begin previews on December 20 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. Opening night is scheduled for January 27, 2005. The box office opens on November 8 but group sales tickets are on sale now. The website www.goodvibrationsonbroadway.com will be operational in about a week or two. The director is John Carrafa and the book is by Richard Dresser. The cast is comprised of 23 amazing singer-actor-dancers and there will be an on-stage band. It will contain over 35 songs.

Not much new info, but good to see they will have a website up!Looking forward to the full cast listing.

your welcome adoannie, and you never know so i'll cross my fingers for your friend and post what happens when you find out!

i had heard that the producers wanted a somewhat diverse cast, not sure if that is true but it is a good sign that justin guarini is in the show he is bi racial and has an ethnic background so hopefully the show will reflect a somewhat diverse cast!

so hold out hope u just never know there are a few weeks to go yet, i don't think all the cast has been announced !

there seems to be a lot of shows on broaday much more then out west, so hopefully your friend will land a good show soon!
