Most popular song?

Okay, what is the song from a broadway show that almost anyone who hears it, even people who have never stepped in a theater, would know?

I vote probably Summer Nights from Grease because it's done so much at Karaoke bars.

There are many, many more. It's only recently that Broadway music hasn't become more popular with the masses.

Well, with Chicago being one of the highest-grossing movies of all-time, I think maybe All That Jazz would be pretty recognizable.

I also thnk people will know "And I am telling you" -- it has been odne a few times on American Idol.

Besides that, I concur that the movie-musicals tend to have the songs more people know.

I love "On My Own" but a lot of my friends didn't know it when a friend sang it at a recital. If we're going with musicals, not specifically Broadway, I'd say "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" from Meet Me in St. Louis. It's a Christmas standard that almost everyone of every age knows. "Tomorrow" is also known by a lot of people.

i don't think for good is.. i mean ask anyone that doesn't see broadway shows that much they would be like WTF?!
