The following list of dates are what I've compiled going through the past several years worth of ticket stubs and Playbills. Since I fell in love with shows, I've lived in 29 different locations, yet only 10% of the shows listed are out of NYC. I'm trying to "get my life together" and since I'm getting organized, I offer this list of theatrical events in an ordinary life. The memories!!!

Wow! I am extremely jealous of some of these, especially the earlier ones.
You saw I OUGHT TO BE IN PICTURES?
Color me jealous.
How was Dinah Manoff?

You should REALLY get out to the theatre more often. (insert sarcasm here)

I agree it's an impressive list, but it is over a period of 38 years. It averages something like one show a month it appears. Lots of great theatre. I don't have such a list, but when I think of the festivals I've gone to over and over again seeing 7 or 8 shows in a four day period, or the 14 shows in 10 days in London every year, or the 23 shows I just saw in one month in NYC (typical about once a year for me), or even the 12 shows a year the community theatre I've been involved with for 32 years now, I shudder to think what my list would look like in pretty much that same period. But I'll tell you what REALLY impresses me -- the fact that you have this list. I've long lost track of my playbills and couldn't begin to put together such an accurate list. Very impressive.
I could totally do an accurate spot-on list for me, as of July 2006. That's when I started scrapbooking my theatre trips. So now I'm a nerd with scrapbooks. But if I ever decide to list all my theatre trips one day, it'll be a simple simple matter of just copying my contents pages. :3
Considering how much I've done in two years though, I don't even want to think about what another thirty-six years might do for my list...
Thank you for your replies! I excluded all community and regional theatre because the list would've been impossible to complete. I also didn't include productions that I was in or directed (that would've padded the list by over a thousand).
I find it remarkable that so many of the musicals I began with in the 1970's have come full circle, have had movies made and are already being revived on Broadway. I never felt myself getting older until all these recent revivals!
Dinah Manoff was quite good in "pictures", although it was as far from 'Soap' as she could get. I also saw her in Leader of the Pack with Patrick Cassidy, Darlene Love and Ellie Greenwich herself.
Many times I've sheduled more than one show in a day, or several in a weekend. I try not to do that anymore because I invariably love one show and hate the other; I'd much rather see one theatrical endeavor at a time, so as not too muddle the memories.
Weez
Those few scrap books will blossom into one or more rooms devoted to the stage in a couple of decades time, I assure you!
