Hugh Panaro is spellbinding. I'll miss him dearly as the Phantom, so I hope Lestat rocks.

WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE????
No one mentioned LINDA EDER. She has the most amazing voice I've ever heard. Naturally, raw, untrained talent.

Oh, Linda Eder. I'd buy a ticket to watch her sing the back of a Cheerios box. Her voice is magic.

"stunning" is a tough adjective...
but i think idina is hands down, the most stunning woman on broadway. she has a very distinctive look to her, and i think "stunning" works. cheyenne jackson takes the cake for the boys, no question.
(AND when i think of this word, i think sutton foster at the tonys in 2002)

Most stunning Broadway star: Bernadette Peters
Newest, most stunning Broadway star: Kelli O'Hara (she's going to be around for a long time. I can feel it! At least I'm hoping!)

The key to the mystery of a great artist is that for reasons unknown, he will give away his energies and his life just to make sure that one note follows another... and leaves us with the feeling that something is right in the world.

My vote for "Most stunning off-Broadway star who needs to be back on Broadway" is Orfeh.

I'm going to agree with Bree and add that her husband Andy Karl is hands down the best looking man off Broadway who should be on broadway right now. And as i've said in other threads, they are THE best looking "show biz" couple around. I'm not going to link pictures because it annoys me to no end what it does to the board spacing but just look them up.

I would have to say that my number one choice, of course, is Cheno because she is so great. My number two choice would have to be Stokes because he has that powerhouse voice. My number three choice would have to be Wayne Brady. I haven't seen him in Chicago, but I'm a big fan of his work on "Whose Line?" and I saw him sing "All I Care About" on "Broadway on Broadway" last year.

"Breathe from your hoo-hoo."
