I know there have been threads devoted to duets - but I'm looking for any duets for mother/daughter characters where the mother is a mezzo and the daughter is a soprano.
Thanks!
Same here... sorry I can't be of help, but I also need one too.
For an alto II and a soprano II
I think around the same age would be most appropriate. Thanks.

I believe the characters who sing "Unsuspecting Hearts" from Carrie are mother-daughter figures. "Ohio" from Wonderful Town is sung by sisters but could easily be mother and daughter. "Hear My Song" from Songs for a New World could be translated to a mother-daughter duet.

Not sure what your situation is or the ranges/styles but here are a few that may could be reconfigured:
Don't Follow in my Footsteps from The Goodbye Girl
The Apple Doesn't Fall from The Rink
A Boy Like That/I Have A Love from West Side Story
We Make A Beautiful Pair from Shenandoah
Thanks guys. Any more out there?
TELL HIM (Streisand/Dion) might work, but I dunno if you can get the sheet music with the harmonies. I think you kinda just have to work them out yourself.
I'm looking for Mother/Daughter duets, In.
There was a duet in the revival of Into The Woods with the Witch and Rapunzel
I think it was called "Our Little World"
Ok, it's not from a show, but if you look at the lyrics I reckon the two characters are a mother & her daughter.
Oh okay. I haven't actually listened that carefully to it, ITM. Thanks for the clarification.

I don't know if it's what you are looking for but there's that duet between Marian and Mrs. Paroo from the Music Man. It's called "If You Don't Mind My Saying So," or something similar.
How has the youth of the board missed the mom/daughter duet from BAY BOY...'Three Bedroom House', I believe it's called.
dont know if anyone said this because i didnt read the post above it but welcome to the 60's is a fun song.
Three Bedroom House is fantastic and hilarious!
Ah, Three Bedroom House. Highlight of the score. :)
