Ragtime! Oh my god, it would be orgasmic if they made a ragtime film!
Miss Saigon! I always thought this was a very movie-esque musical anyway. Would transfer seamlessly to film. Do it do it!

These days they don't often cast Broadway stars in movie leads. Unless they've established themselves in Hollywood, too. They should, though.

Do you REALLY want to sacrifice any more of our beloved jewels to the industry I work in? I once took a meeting in Los Angeles at a studio with an exec who - and I really mean this - said there was discussion about making "Dreamgirls" (it had been kicked around in Hollywood for years) with an all-white cast. I can count on my fingers (don't need the toes) the number of GOOD adaptations of Broadway musicals. Please take a moment and think of how Hollywood could screw up "Avenue Q" ("let's get the guy who did the Chucky movies!") or "Les Miz" ("we'll set it in Brooklyn!") and then reconsider the carnage.
Fossee is dead. Ain't never coming back. I don't trust nobody else.

Posted: 4/20/06 at 12:13amJust thought of another good one: The Beautiful Game. Would make a great movie. It's a great musical. Maybe because I'm English and lived during those times I like it. Does anyone else think it's too english/irish a musical?
