re: Movie musicals?

I don't think Legally Blonde should happen. I saw the Broadway show, via MTV, and I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. I actually thought that Laura Bell Bundy was too obnoxious as Elle. Well, compared to Reese Witherspoon anyway.

Legally Blonde is a movie. Are you saying theyre gonig to make another one.

re: Movie musicals?

A Legally Blonde movie musical would be awful. The original movie just came out like 6 or 7 years ago and Reese Witherspoon is too cemented in people's minds as Elle Woods.

And as much as I love Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, I doubt a movie musical would ever happen.

Dont call the Legally Blonde movie idea so crazy. Its exactly what went down with Hairspray =)

That's the best news I've heard all day!

re: Movie musicals?

See, for me, Hairspray is a little different. The original movie came out in 1988, so there has been a ton of time between the movie and when the musical came out. That would not be the case with Legally Blonde at all. I still don't understand how it became a Broadway show. It just seems so random to me.

re: Movie musicals?

Isn't "Repo: The Genetic Opera" supposed to open soon? I last heard late April, but I haven't seen much of it since the Sci-Fi awards (or wherever it was where they premiered the trailer).

Anthony Head, Sarah Brightman, and Paris Hilton all singing in a splatter horror movie musical? How badly is this thing going to bomb? Though I did get that song that they used for the trailer stuck in my head for a few weeks after seeing the trailer.
