I heard 8 Mile was going to be adapted, that would work in my opinion. I need to think about this!

Harvey could take on the lead role!

I still think "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" would make a great Broadway musical!

MARY POPPINS needs to come to Broadway!!!

I have envisioned a transformation of THE TRUMAN SHOW to the stage and love the idea!

I'm surprised that Mary Poppins hasn't made it yet. I'm sure that it's only a matter of time before they bring it to Broadway and butcher everyone's memories of the film.

I think they have discussed it several times in the past but it never seems to quite make it to fruition.

"Alladin" Disney style. They have a theater version in Disney Land, so why not on Broadway?

I think "Little Mermaid" is planned to be the next Disney offering on Broadway. Although I believe their was some change among the creative team a few months ago that might delay its debut.

My perfect day would begin at on the beach in Hana, Maui and end at a Broadway Musical.

I've seen the "Aladdin" describes as "a musical spectacular" at Disney's California Adventure Theme Park. It's quite good with elaborate special effects, but it's really like a cool "Short Subject" as opposed to a complete musical. It think the actual performance ran between 45-60 minutes.

Little Mermaid would be extremely successful. I wouldn't mind if Disney brought that here. I'd imagine they would use puppetry similar to that of THE LION KING, and there would be a LOT of flying.

Ursula is such an awesome villain. Just imagine what her costume would look like!

Aladdin is not going to Broadway in the near future. The recent casting call wass for LA replacements (there are three casts). The show is in no shape for a transfer and the Disney administration is not loking at this for Broadway.

Little Mermaid IS the next big Disney project. It has had a successful workshop with Kerri Butler and the planning stages are advancing. Ursula, played by Emily (whose name I forgot-the Sideshow girl) will not be continuing. Another workshop is planned for the fall.

I really wonder is Disney is in any hurry to bring Little Mermaid to Broadway. The staying power of The Lion King has been amazing. It continually holds the number #1 or #2 positon for Broadway sales each week. Why not wait until The Lion King's roar subsides a bit. Why compete against yourself?

The Side Show girl is Emily Skinner, lol. She did read for Ursula, Kerry read for Ariel and Gavin Creel read for Prince Eric.

Personally, I think Emily is perfect for Ursula. They can fatten and ugly her up... and then she could easily do the transition when she gets Ariel's voice and becomes beautiful. She's such a versatile actress... and so funny. She'd be perfect.

I can totally see Kerry and Gavin as Ariel and Eric too. Gavin... *sigh*

Mulan would work for a musical. Actually, I think it would work better than Mermaid. It is one of my favoite Disney Movies of all times.

Mulan, yes! That would be a great choice! I know so many people who loved the movie, and if they made it into a musical I think it would do really well.

Fox's ANASTASIA would be great to, but cut out "If I Can Learn To Do It," add in more songs, and make it even more darker, especially "In The Heat Of The Night."

Can you just imagine what "Once Upon A December" would look like on a Broadway stage? OMG, bring it on!

I like the song "If I Can Learn To Do It!" But, I have to admit, that song probably wouldn't come across well in a staged version. Angela Lansbury would have to re-create her role (even though it was only her voice in the movie).

I think "Sleeping Beauty" would be a great Broadway Show. Can you just picture Aurora's dress changing colors on stage at the end?
