I just got an email from Playwrights saying that Mr. Burns is completely sold out. I just paid for a 30 and Under membership, and the email said that if I didn't want my membership because I can't see Mr Burns that I could cancel by September 19th... which is super helpful because it's the 26th. Anyway, I want to keep my membership because I love Playwrights but I still want to see Mr Burns.

Has anyone tried Hot Tix, or know if they will be releasing more tickets? When Far From Heaven 'sold out' they kept releasing tickets, but on the website right now there isn't even a place to look for Mr. Burns tickets, it just says "SOLD OUT"

I've heard that the show is indeed completely sold out. The fact that Playwrights is going to the extreme of offering to let you refund your membership should indicate to you just how seriously sold out it is.

It won't be extending further, so it looks like the cancellation line would be your only option.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

For what it's worth, I've had pretty good luck getting into PH shows via the cancellation line. I've done it maybe half a dozen times for their sold out productions and gotten in every time. If you're serious about wanting to see the show, you should try it.
