I would like to clearify that the reason I think Feinstein's is expensive is the food. If I thought the ticket was expensive I would have spent $50 on the ticket for the upcoming concert, not $80. And I am very used to paying full price for theatre tickets on the floor. Yes, I do usually spend way over $100 everytime I see a show with the ticket, any souvenirs that I buy (and let's just say I'm the one that merch people like because I buy too much.) What I do find overpriced is the food because no, I do not usually spend $40 - $100 per meal. And if that makes me cheap, than so be it. But it's not like I don't spend my fair share on Broadway. Just to get that out there.
That's another issue. Why was the 2nd concert cheaper than the first? Something else that pissed me off about that place.

I have a reservation for 2 premium tickets to the March 8th performance that I cannot use. There is no cancellations but I spoke to the lady at Feinstein's, and I can transfer my reservation. If anyone is interested, please pm me. Thanks so much!
Jennifer
Reservations for 2 to be transferred still available!!!
Cheyenne was amazing but Feinstein's is overpriced... I have no problem with the ticket price but a dessert and 1 drink was $36... without tip....
Dessert was $15 and the drink $21 - and the price of mixed drinks are not listed on the menu.
"Expensive" is relative; I thought that given the venue, the prices were reasonable. I liked the food and drinks very much.
I just got home from the second show and it was sold out just like last week.
The thing that continues to strike me about Mr. Jackson is how unapologetic he is about who he is, and I cannot think of any other leading man Broadway or otherwise who doesn't shy away from being who they are. Tonight, he spoke lovingly of his husband, Monte, and he joked that since he and Monte were both big guys standing at almost 6'4" (Jackson) and 6'5" (Monte), Jackson often gets asked if it was like the WWF when Jackson and Monte had sex!
That's a helluva a lot of integrity there, and his talent just makes him all the more special.
Jackson sang excellently tonight and I had no idea just how funny the man can be. (Jackson and Seth Rudetsky were a great comic tandem). Tonight, for his encore, it was DON'T WALK AWAY from XANADU. There was audience participation as the audience echoed the parts of the song where the muses were backing up Sonny's vocals.
And the one and only Barbara Cook was in the audience. Jackson kept on using the f-word, and apologized to Ms. Cook, and without missing a beat, Ms. Cook responded, "F--k is OK, Cheyenne!" The crowd went wild.
IT WAS SIMPLY AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE TO SEE JACKSON DO HIS THING TONIGHT. I've loved Jackson since seeing the NYMF production of ALTAR BOYZ, and I fell in love with that amazing voice of his all over again.
