Hi guys, I'm auditioning for Mr. Applegate in Damn Yankees, and I was wondering what would be a good song for my audition. I'm a baritone and we only have to sing sixteen bars. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do a bit from "Those Were the Good Old Days"

what about "We Can Do it" from the Producers. It's the same type of sleazy, oily, comic character. Any song with that type of character should work.

Rosencrantz: "Be happy - if you're not even HAPPY what's so good about surviving? We'll be all right. I suppose we just go on." - from Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

Or a little bit of King of Broadway from The Producers.

I second "King of Broadway," although singing part of "The Good Old Days" would work too.
