It would seem basing musicals on popular movies of the past are more successful in luring investors than audiences.

I recently took a survey on upcoming Broadway projects and among the shows with questions was Mrs. Doubtfire. Tootsie and Dreamgirls were also on the list.

I too took a (very long) survey about just Mrs. Doubtfire, so I assume something must be happening.

Chris Seiber is PERFECT FOR THIS! Hopefully they take the idea and run with it in an original way. Rule of thumb when adapting a movie....DON"T DO A SCENE BY SCENE RECREATION. Those never work.
