Forgive me, it's been a long weekend and I'm worn out. So, if this is a pointless post, then humor me.

But I am watching "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" and when the Weasley brothers give Harry the Marauder's Map, Harry reads it aloud and one of the creators of the map is a "Mrs. Mooney."

This automatically reminded me of the lyric from "The Worst Pies in London":

Mrs. Mooney has a pie shop.
Does a business, but I notice something weird.
Lately, all her neighbors cats have disappeared.

Mrs. Mooney doing good business during a period when times are hard. Messing around with black cats.

Methinks this woman was a bit more magical than Mrs. Lovett knew.

I think JK Rowling is a musical lover

It's not Mrs. Mooney. It's Moony, also known as Remus Lupin, the werewolf, who took part in creating the map when he went to school at Hogwarts.

Was Mrs. Mooney really a character in the 89 revival of Sweeney Todd. What did she do exactly? Did she just like pop up or something or what?

She was in God, That's Good, I believe. She's usually in the show (in the Broadway productions, at least, not including the revival) during that scene, seen but not heard.

Oh wow.

I did a tiny production of sweeney two years ago...(I was 15 and in the ensemble lol) and we kinda had a mrs. mooney. in the opening ballad she walked in and dumped mrs lovett's ashes into our trapdoor grave before we threw sweeneys body in...then in god that's good our Lovett did the bit about Mooney while gloating over her. quite funny. But what took the cake was the costumers take on it. She made this stoal (spelling?)for her to wear that looked like a cats tail. That was one of those inside jokes that the audience most likely missed. :) Sorry long anecdote. Love sweeney. Oh but its not Mrs. Mooney in the book... Its. Mssrs. Monney,Padfoot, wormtail, and prongs...for Monsieurs.

In the line you're thinking of he says "Misters Mooney, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs."

It does sound like Misses though.
