Less strange than my recent hankering to musicalise 'The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas'. Brilliant book, but FAR from lovely. Luckily I don't have much of an attention span and most assuredly wouldn't get the rights. ^_^

The general public of today could hardly handle a Kafka story, especially in a theatre.

Except the theatrical production of 'Metamorphosis' I referred to earlier in the thread was well received by audiences and critics alike. Shame it was only a small limited thing...

I remember reading this book for class in high school. Not one of my favorites by any means but if you think you can turn it into a musical, more power to you.

The public wants HAIRSPRAY, not METAMORPHOSIS. They want a fat girl turned glam, not a man turned bug.
