I've grown to appreciate and love television series more and more over time - whether it is House of Cards, Breaking Bad, GOT, OITNB, The Handmaid's Tale etc. However, with so many tv series going at a time, I've come to truly adore watching a short miniseries now and again - like Big Little Lies [if it remains one season], Feud, American Crime Story etc.
Since a tv musical is no new thing, and I've just started watching American Horror Story S7, I thought maybe this could be a step towards bringing musicals to the homes of all people [especially ones that would never have a chance on making it to Broadway.] A similar structure to AHS, and maybe following the same idea of a theme - allowing for a good fleshed out story as well as plenty of room for songs.
Just a late night thought :)
The Brits got there first: Rock Follies, Pennies from Heaven, The Singing Detective, Blackpool.

You should watch Bunheads. It's not meant to be a mini-series but early cancellation made it so. The numbers in the show have a deeply theatrical approach since they are mostly performance numbers by Sutton Foster. It's a beautiful show .
