First one is Musicals in general, the rest are all names of musicals- Hair, Greece, Bye Bye Birdie, Bells are Ringing, King and I.

It was too easy, and the others, Hair, Greece, Bye,bye Birdie, were just word plays, not really musicals!

Anyone who saw it NOT run the Musicals category? Talk about easy...

Regarding Greece and "Grease"--I recently ran into a friend I hadn't seen for almost a year. I asked what she had been doing, and she said she'd been touring in Greece. My music-theatre poisoned mind heard "touring in 'Grease'" and I immediately asked, "What did you play?" She isn't even an actress! I won't soon forget that disbelieving stare.

The "Carrie" picture? Isn't that why it was such a flop? They hired uppity Royal Shakespeare Company director Terry Hands to direct it, and said they wanted a musical in the style of "Grease" and he heard "Greece" and decided to put everyone in togas?

When Jeopardy does a theme board like that, it's usually just one category about the subject and then lots of puns -- otherwise, it's too specific and not fair. Jeopardy's a show about general knowledge, hence the six categories per round.

Can anyone remember some of the general musical ones they had?

Tonight on 1 vs. 100 they had the question: What is the Broadway musical with a foreign name based on the music of ABBA? Oy.
