Do Nine. I did it for the first time in college, and again professionally a few years ago. Great musical, and it's all women save Guido and Young Guido. And every woman gets featured in some way. =)
Nunsense?
StickToPriest-Why does the double casting of the wolf and the prince irk you? It's always done that way in real productions to be symbolic. It's intentional.
CATS
'Cause who the hell can tell anyways?
Bially--
I meant I hate when two actors play the different parts.
Thus the ONE role of Cinderella's Prince/Wolf becomes couble cast into TWO roles.
I know that it is symbolic and intentional, thats why it irks me when they don't have the same actor play both roles.
I agree-- it's like having Captain Hook and Mr. Darling played by different actors. Takes away from some of the intended nuance.
I mentioned these in another thread, but Smile, Anne of Green Gables, Jane Eyre, and A Little Princess all have many more female roles than male.
