I know we've done this post like a million times but I just thought I'd post it again. Maybe any new members showed up and could post their opinion.
Anyways I would like to see:
Wicked
Hairspray(already in the making)
Avenue Q? (i dunno I haven't seen it, what's your opinion on this)
Thoroughly Modern Millie
Your A Good Man Charlie Brown(Gotta love MY NEW PHILOSOPHY)
I can't see Avenue Q being made into a movie. I mean, it's a great show, but I don't know how it would be as a movie. The whole person/puppet thing is what I really liked about the show. I don't think it would be the same on screen.

I don't think there will be another 'Thoroughly Modern Millie' film, after all the stage show was based on the film of the same name with Julie Andrews playing Millie.
I'd like to see
Wicked
Sunset Boulevard (though it is based on a film, but not a musical film)
Ragtime
Martin Guerre (saw the London production and loved the score!)
turned into a movie musical.
Avenue Q (if done the way of Sesame Street) could be hilarious. It is hard though because that's as far as making it adaptable into a moive script. as for making it appeal to others, i dont know. its so much better on stage, lets leave it at that.
You're A Good Man Charlie Brown was actually turned into a musical movie. It was animated and had every song and sketch from the show. It was great. Wicked i would like to see if they changed the book around a little and Schwartz cut afew songs and added a few. Just to make it better for film. Hairpsray, im not happy they're making this. I did not enjoy the show and I love the original movie. I will not be going to see this movie.
I think if they make Wicked into a movie it should be based on the novel.
I would like to see Les Miserables turned into a movie. There has been several non musical verisons but id like to see the musical out on film
Starlight Express would be a crazy movie if it got released.

I don't know if this is right or not but I heard that it was gonna become a movie w/ Demi Moore but then they bought the rights away for the movie and made it a musical.
I heard from ALW's mouth ( from a radio program ) that the rights have been sold for a SUNSET BLVD. movie. I love, love, love the billy wilder movie and I really can't see it being any better than the original movie, but it would be interesting to see.

spider, I've heard it too. They've been planning it for years now. But I don't know wheather they're going to make it a big screen version à la THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA or release it as dvd right away as they did with CATS and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. The last I heard of it was the straight-to-dvd plan i.e. shoot the theatre version as they did with CATS and JCS.
