Okay.. this is going to be very short..
It was very sad going into the Virginia again (being a little shop fan).. But I did it.. haha :) So for the show..
Sutton is the next big thing on Broadway! She is AMAZING in the role. The cast was very good.. and very nice at the Stage door!
Act I: I loved Jo's stories in the first act! They were funny, clever and sutton was great in all of them. The songs were okay, some of them very good ('Astonishing') but nothing was memorable. They seemed to fallow the book very well, but left some small parts on the way. Overall - the first act was very enjoyable.
Act II: Again, that act started with Jo's "fixed" story from the beginning and was very good and funny. The second act will be a bit confusing for someone that did not read the book. It also got some small points where the show is very s..l..o..w. Again, good songs but not memorable at all. 2 understudies were on today, one for Marmee and one for Meg. They were all great. The ending was very nice but missed some small parts from the book.
Set - I must mention the set! It was amazing! Very clever too.
Overall - I highly recommend this show to everyone. It's a great show for families. The songs are not as good as i thought they'll be, but everything else was astonishing!

Glad to hear you enjoyed the show. As I've said in other posts this past week, this is my favorite show I've seen.
And as for Sutton: That girl could sing the phone book and still win a Tony.

Tiny,
Sutton won a Tony award for her role in Millie.
She has been big for a few years now. I can't wait to see Little Women. I love Sutton's voice.

Sutton is the future of Broadway, and Little Women is the best new musical on Broadway this season, thus far!
Go Sutton!
(I named my cat Millie on purpose!

I'm glad folks are enjoying this show. I do want to see it. The book is one of my favorites (I love Louise May Alcott) and to have it in a musical sounds perfect!
And, I'm sure that Sutton is perfect as Jo! She's got stage presence and can make Jo such a "real" person. (My favorite film "Jo" is Kathrine Hepburn.)
