Should My Fair Lady receive a new film adaptation? Emma Thompson wrote a screenplay for a new version over a decade ago.

Cameron Mackintosh and Sony were behind the film remake that Thompson was writing; according to Mackintosh, the film "didn't happen because of various things that happened with the rights and the studio and everything like that."
The original film is pretty damn perfect (and very faithful to the stage show, sans Julie Andrews).

Maybe they can do a new stage production which brings it into modern-day London.
