I just saw this show on tour and have to agree with Yankeefan. I thought the show was very funny. But by the end of the show I was looking at my watch. No standing O except the people running for their cars.

I saw the original cast in May of 2005. The same thing happened with the young kid. After the word they thought would get him out, they gave him the real hard word and then Jay Reiss looked up at the boy and said something to the effect of "Lightning doesn't strike twice here".

The show was just here in Denver. I did not see it but a friend did and told me about the young kid and the really hard word he got before he got the really hard one that got him offstage. I have heard about this from a few people who have seen the show.

Now I must say that when I left the show and got to my friend's apt., whom I was visiting, I told him about it and I am pretty sure he told me the same thing happened when he saw it. About 4 days after seeing it I was at Seth's Chatterbox, (Love ya Seth!) and 3 members of the cast were his guests. Sarah Saltzberg being one of them. (Along with Jose Llana who Is just too cute and adorable for words. I could just....well that's another thread!!) After the show, I actually got to talk at a table with Sarah for about 5 or 10 minutes. I mentioned the kid at my show 4 days prior and she said she remembered it and the cast was really surprised. We talked about how they have to get the audience members off of the stage in a certain amount of time and the really hard words are there to achieve this. We talked about a few other things like where they hang out after the show. I think she said The Palm right across the street. So I left there feeling like I had some inside scoop! But now I am inclined to believe that this happens on purpose and that the cast members don't divulge it to anyone outside of the show. But who's to say? But I am still inclined to believe it is set up. But I don't think they do it at every performance. Just to make it look real. JMHO
