I finally made it!! After 17 years!! Went into the city (just a driving trip on Saturday) and dear lord, was I exciting. But, Sunday, went into get tickets at the tkts and got tickets to Piazza! Oh my gosh... my first Broadway show... was AMAZING! All of you know that of course... meeting Victoria and Kelli and Matt... whoa... I think Kelli found it odd I was crying when I met her... lol Oh, saw Laura Bell Bundy and talked to her... she was surprised I recognized her! And Joanna Gleason's husband was there.
La la la... saw Bee last night... somehow it made me cry too? Weird... LOVED Celia... my uncle did theater with her in Detroit and she actually remembered him... or at least pretended to... lol Everyone was great... except maybe Jose... I thought he was kinda... whatever... oh, and David Cassidy was at the show... random! lol But, it was amazing! You all know that of course... whatever... I'm still on a high...

Aww, yay for you! :)

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

I'm SOOOOOOO glad you ended up seeing these two shows (esp. Bee)...theyre some of the best on Bway right now...glad you enjoyed them as well. Bee is such an emotional rollercoaster, seriously. If you've seen it, you can probably relate. You laugh, you cry, you feel happy, you feel proud, you feel sad, you become so amazingly concerned about these people and not only if they win the Bee or not but about their lives etc etc. It's incredible. Bee was a laughathon but I didn't become emotional. I might've made a pouty face when some of them lost or when Olive is talking about her parents but you cried? I'm not trying to be rude, just curious. How did you feel about Piazza?

Well, I'm not broadwaybaby, but sometimes the total theatre experience is so magical for me that I tear up. Maybe that's what happened. :)

Umm... I actually cried like AFTER Bee... just from meeting the actors... and my sister lives in Albania now, and I really wanted to call and tell her about everything, but I couldn't... plus, the city was so overwhelming to me at that point... lol

But, actually, I got really sad when SPOILER... sorta... Mitch went to hand Loggaine the apple juice and she burst into tears and hugged him... because I understand the whole overcompensation thing and thinking that you're not adequate or that everyone hates losers... you know.

The man in charge of lighting at the Vivian Beaumont was talking to some people from the audience (my mom included... I was already outside waiting to pounce lol) and said since the sales have been good and they're getting good audiences, they are probably going to extend it past the 1st. How far, I do not know.
