I go to (cencored) and my professor (censored) mentions all the different productions he has seen, and comparing them to what the book says. However one thing he said was interesting. "So I went to the A.R.T.'s production of the Seagull, I usually hate all A.R.T.'s productions, but i'm a season subscriber so I go anyways"
Maybe its just me, but if their is a production I don't want to see....I DONT GO! Why would you waste your money on a subscription to a theatre company you do not like!?

Hope? It was a gift? Seems like he should? He likes to SAY he's a subscriber at faculty parties? He's a masochist?
Why not ask him?

Not to give you to much hassle, but why post this on this board? There was just another thread about some random professor who said nothing important has happened on broadway in x years.
Totally understandable to talk about these things when they happen to you, but why not do it on the appropriate board?

I'm assuming if he's a subscriber the ticket is paid for already? Free theatre and the possibility of being surprised. Maybe he's a subscriber for a reason other than their shows.
As a drama student, I go to shows I don't expect to like all the time. Sometimes it's confirmed, sometimes I'm surprised. Often I go because smart people tell me I should or to support someone I know or to accompany a friend or just cos I've got nothing better to do of a night.
