HIGH:
The subject matter, and the prospect of *SPOILER* full frontal male nudity, definitely sounds touchy to most. But if you go in an see this play with an open mind, you will be changed. This was a very well written piece and, with Kathleen Turner and her acerbic, yet witty personality, the show comes to life in full force. Evan Jonigkeit also makes a smashing debut as Cody, a drug addict with a marred past and grim future. He nails his character with such perfection, that I actually forgot he was acting. The story whips the mind back and forth and you end up with your jaw hanging in shock for more than five minutes at a time. I personally recommend this to anyone and everyone (16 and up).

Stage Door: Everybody came out and they were all so nice.
PRISCILLA:
And now to the other end of the spectrum...A totally, for lack of a better word, gay musical to counterbalance HIGH. PRISCILLA was an extremely fun, bouncy, buoyant show that will give you such a warm feeling. The cast was amazing, especially Tony Sheldon as Bernadette and Nick Adams as Adam/Felicia. I enjoyed Will Swenson, but I felt his Australian accent fluctuated way too much during the show. The grandeur of it all is simply magnificent that I recommend anyone go see this just for a good time.
*SPOILER* One moment that resonated with me was when the drag queens encountered their bus vandalized with "F*CK OFF FAGGOTS", and then Tick, visibly distraught, notes that no matter how strong you are or how many times you ignore it, the words still hurt. This led into True Colors and I was a crying mess.

Quizking 101, How is Kathleen Turner at the stage door? Years ago, when she was at the height of her movie career, she did Cat On A Hot Tin Roof on Broadway. She was one of my favorite actresses at the time. Just a beautiful and talented woman. Unfortunately, she was not very nice at the stage door and remains one of my biggest disappointments. I am curious if time...and other "factors" have marked any change in the experience.
@ArtMan I honestly half-expected her not to come out, so I took it as a pleasant surprise myself. She was very kind, and signed for everyone, but would not let people take photos WITH her, only OF her. But she was friendly and chatty, raving to us about how she laughed hysterically at BOOK OF MORMON and her favorite onstage role was Martha in ...VIRGINIA WOOLF.
