Hey everyone. Sorry for the self promotion, but at this stage of one's career, I guess this is what you have to do.
The show is going great and we open this weekend. And yes, we are going the full monty. We sang at Jim Caruso's Cast Party last week and it went really well. Liza was in the audience and it just tripped me out that I was singing for HER. Crazy.
Anyhoo, I am real excited to be doing the show and I hope some of you can make it. It's a great chance to see a show that so many people missed when it was on Broadway thanks to The Producers.
Thanks for reading.

Wishing you good luck...Have a great show!!
good luck!!! break a leg!!!
You're right--people should go out & see it...many people did miss it b/c of the frenzy of the Producers
Thanks Pinky. It was totally overshadowed by the Producers. I hate that Kathleen Freeman lost out on the Tony just because Cady Huffman was in The Producers. Kathleen was great. Not that cady was bad, but i think that Ms. Freeman deserved it more.

Break legs...
Say, this theatre sounds like it does some shocking things...nudity things. Is this a little black box or no?
Break legs! It is a great show, I just love the score.
Who are you playing?
It's not a black box. It is an Equity showcase house, so it seats 99 people. It is a proscenium stage. But they always do real challenging shows and really good versions of them. Terrence McNally is actually coming to see the show.
I am playing Malcom, so I get to sing Walk With Me which I love.
I am curious, how was the nudity was approached in rehearsal? Was there any removing of clothes at the audition?
Was there a set date that all the guys "let it go?" First day together? ha! Did each of you ease into at your own pace? Diddya wait until final dress rehearsals?
As nudity for many people is quite a private thing I am curious as to how this delicate matter was approached. How do you personally feel about it? Liberated? Horrified? Indifferent?
at the callback we had to do a two-minute strip down to underwear. as for the nudity, we did have deadlines. first we had to do the underwear. and then we had a deadline for nudity for just the six guys. that was on last saturday. and on wednesday of this week, that is our dealine to do the full monty for the whole cast. two more days to go!
You guys did The School for Scandal. I like that play a lot!
TFM is one of my favorite shows... wish I lived closer. Break a leg, shermanslave!
thank you mature!
I saw the tour a few weeks ago and it was an amazing show! I loved Malcolm! Break a leg (with a big ass rock perhaps?)
I love Big Ass Rock!!
Thanks for the detailed info about the process of "letting it go." I know it must've been a little daunting. Seems like it was approached sensitively and appropriately.
Have a great opening and run. It is nice to hear you are getting to put it out there. I hope it leads to even better things for you.
Dolly, at our first "naked day" it was just the six guys and our choreographer who also put on a g-string and then got naked with us. made it a lot easier to get through. by the end of the hour, i was surprised how comfortable we all were with it.
Hope your opening went well.
I'm coming to see the show on Thursday! I never caught it on B'way, so I'm very excited.
