If I read correctly a while back I was told that the main investors are from Japan and that John T. is very big in Japan and new if they cast him, that it would make big bucks overseas.
Also, in response to Theaterdiva90016:

That's the bottom line.
I totally agree with the acceptence part. But it is very rare that the (below average girl) always gets the "hunk", sorry it is not the way people work. We would like to beleive that, but it is just not true. As human beings we are very, very shallow, let's be honest. I wish it was not that way, but as long as we keep telling ourselves (media) that we have to look a certain way and keep telling people that don't (its ok, like a pitty party) then people will never be accepted except by the way you look.
Sorry to be a downer, I love the message, but just hard to accepte it when in the movie we are still hiding behind it.
The PHOTOS look great though!

You are right there is no "e" in accept, just did not catch that. What I mean by us hiding behind it is that we use the movie as something we know that could never really happen in reality. Sorry that I even mentioned it.
