Only thing is...it might have to be with the new London revival. I was really hoping for a full fledged Night Music with the original Tunick orchestrations.
Does this mean MERRILY gets pushed back? I cannot imagine Roundabout doing two Sondheims in the same season. I would rather have NIGHT MUSIC first.

thanks for the NEWS. I was wondering what was happening.
I just hope a great production comes to New York.....I just hope that it is a "NY" production and gets it's OWN CD Cast Recording.
I loved Sunday in the Park with George Revival and was annoyed that it only had the London Cast Recording.
Also, it would be great if the video taped it!...but I'm getting ahead of myself lol

Posted: 2/20/09 at 11:19pmI would love for this to happen, but I would rather see Lincoln Center do it. If Night Music is going to be revived, I want to see a gorgeous and lavish production. I think Lincoln Center would provide that more so than Roundabout.

I agree. I would love a full orchestra
Did I mention a new cast recording and for it to come out on blu-ray after that? haha

- How do you know? Roundabout transferred SUNDAY, which originated at the same place.

I could totally see Bartlett Sher directing this.
And on a side note, they want to change the Hilton Theater lobby? I wonder what she had in mind?

Posted: 2/20/09 at 11:51pmIf the London production is transferring, there's not a chance Lincoln Center will produce it. The London revival is very small, not lavish like LCT productions are. I still think it seems obvious that Roundabout would produce this revival.

Posted: 2/21/09 at 9:14amThe West End production of LNM was bank-rolled by private investors. They would have the right to produce any transfer of the same production to Broadway.

Posted: 2/21/09 at 11:43amGod I hope it's not with the London production. That show completely lacked humor and was totally misconceived. Act 1 was almost painful to sit through. Let's pray that plans for this production fall through so that Lincoln Center can do a proper revival: full orchestra and an actual set.
