NIGHT MUSIC Benefit Concert to Feature Benanti, Garber, Redgrave, Richardson, Kudisch, and Baranski

According to Laura Benanti's latest blog:

"I am also very much looking forward to doing a one night only benefit concert of A Little Night Music on Monday night January 12th with (my pal) Victor Garber, Vanessa Redgrave, Natasha Richardson, Christine Baranski, Marc Kudish and many more to be announced! It will be directed by one of my all time favorite people, Scott Ellis..."

Does anyone know any more details about this? It sounds incredible!
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Wow, that does sound great. I wonder if it'll be in NY or LA. I would love to see this. That is perfect casting.

Benanti will be Anne, Garber will be Fredrik, and Kudisch will be Count Malcolm, roles they all played opposite one another in the 2004 LA Opera production.

I assume Richardson will play Desiree, Redgrave will play Madame Armfeldt, and Baranski will play Charlotte.

Incredibly perfect casting indeed!

Where on earth is this? Please say New York. Please.
Now what would you say if today I started over? Without a thing but this taped together four leaf clover And I'll pretend like everything is already alright And I'll run toward the sun till the castle's out of sight

If this is anywhere close to me, I will so be there.

Yeah, I noticed that the Benanti, Kudisch, and delicious Garber team played in LA before so that's why I was wondering if it was in LA or NY.
I can't get over how brilliant this cast is.

WOW! I too bad tickets are way too much. I was gonna visit friends in the city that week (im in chicago) but i couldnt afford that. But the cast is excellent! Now lets contemplate who will be Henrik and Petra.

Wow.

I hope they record this.

What a brilliant cast!

The idea of Vanessa and Natassia together in these roles? Heaven on earth.

And Vanessa as Madame Armfeldt? At last, an actress in this role who really could have "commanded kings among her lovers."

I bet they will both KILL in these roles.

Wow, that is too expensive for me or I would be there in a heartbeat.

Now, all they need to do is somehow get Sutton Foster is be Petra! She is ideal casting for the role and is vocally perfect. It's also WAY too small for her to do normally, but on an occasion like this someone needs to make sure she is there!

Hopefully she can get a night off from the mess that Shrek will be to sing the part of Petra!!!!!!

Oh, and then someone needs to have it recorded!!!!!! Maybe if Sherie Renee Scott does Petra, they can use her recording company :)
