My jaw just dropped closer to the floor with each name I read in the cast list. This is absolutely incredible!

It's extraordinarily unfair that it's just a one-night concert event. Full-scale Broadway revival anyone? And with THIS cast, PLEASE?!

I hope, hope, hope that it at least gets recorded. PS Classics or Ghostlight would do well to pick this up and put it on disc.

Aww, I'd love to see it, but would much rather be in it.
I can't believe I had the nerve to actually email Roundabout to ask if I can audition. I doubt I'll get a response...

It definitely should be recorded though I doubt it will be. It's one of the few Sondheim shows that have yet to be filmed, so it's a wonderful opportunity to film it and release it on DVD.
I can't get over how wonderful it'll be to see Benanti, Garber, and Kudisch reprise the roles they are pitch-perfect for, and seeing Redgrave and Richardson sink their teeth into roles that everyone has been wanting them to play for a while. God! So exciting.

I saw the LA Opera production and Laura Benanti was a fabulous Anne. Obviously she sang it beautifully but she was so funny! One tends to overlook the fact that she's a terrific actress.

Garber and Kudisch were also great - born to play these roles. The rest of the cast there included Judith Ivey (Desiree), Zoe Caldwell (Madame Armdeldt), Michelle Pawk (Charlotte), Jessica Boevers (Petra), Danny Gurwin (Henrik), and Kristin Bell (Fredrika).

It's an amazing cast, but the Nokia Theatre SUCKS. The acoustics are terrible and the staff is rude. I can't imagine a classy event going down well there.

Nope and I also went to the Roundabout box office to ask what was up and they looked at me like I was stupid. Annoying.

Edit - on hold with Roundabout, their hold music right now is "Sunday"

Edit again, ticket obtained. Well that was harder than it should have been.

I called the Roundabout and had no problems--no fluster, no long hold--but they asked for my Amex number.

It is amex only, but any amex. I have a poor person amex (ha) and it worked just fine.
