... they just showed a bunch of clips from rehearsals and ended by mentioning that they will show exclusive footage of everyone, making special mention of Daniel Day Lewis, Marion Cotiliard and Judi Dench in addition to the behind the scenes footage. All tomorrow.
The new trailer can't be too far off. Hold on tight, it's fabulous!

WOW! I am EXCITED!
Just a tease... but what a tease! Hudson and Cruz are sex on a stick.
"Take It All" - the burning scarlet red? the leering chorus boys in black? the sexy gold corset? Take it I will...
"Cinema Italiano" - choreography and set design look beyond fierce... Has Hudson ever been photographed - or looked - better?
And "Guarda La Luna" with the sea of candles and the little boy and the glowing Miss Loren looks magical beyond belief.

Posted: 9/19/09 at 12:41amIt was really random, but I was watching Barefoot Contessa this morning on the Food Network, and Ina Garten was making food for Rob Marshall, because he was editing NINE up the street. And then he showed her a clip of the movie, I think it was A Call From The Vatican.

Posted: 9/19/09 at 10:12amIt seems Nine will now open only in New York and LA this year, with the rest of the US and world release now taking place in Jan/Feb 2010. The same way they opened Chicago, Limited and than Wide.

Posted: 9/19/09 at 10:19amChicago had a pretty wide-ish release before January...I remember seeing it the first time in December. Then again, Dallas is one of the bigger markets.

Posted: 9/19/09 at 10:24amThere also seems to be a problem with the running time, Marshall likes the longer cut, while Weinstein (sp) has been showing a shorter cut to some preview audiences.

They're doing the same roll out like what they did with The Reader and Chicago.

I definitely know it was always going to have a 2010 release in Australia since that's when they tend to release the movies in awards contention. Scheduled for January 2010.
The BTS video looked good, got a taste of a few numbers in there.

So, according to this Hollywood Reporter link, it will still have a limited release (NY/LA) on Nov. 25th. It's only the wide release that's being pushed to Christmas Day.
Not an unusual shuffle dance for Harvey Weinstein.
I'm more concerned with them playing with a shorter cut! Stop! I hope they're not killing any more musical numbers. We're already getting the "Readers Digest" version of Nine, as it is.

I can't believe the release date has been pushed back, as if the wait is not long enough.
I'm with you, Besty, do we really need a shorter version of NINE from what we have?
The ET tease looked wonderful, the women look fantastic, and the whole look of the movie is great. I can't wait. Now I want to hear some of the music besides "Be Italian."

Rob's cut keeps "Only With You", Harvey's doesn't. That's the only big musical loss, besides some underscore/dance break stuff.
And I keep hearing rumors of a "Simple" snippet in Rob's, too, but I would take that info with a grain of salt.
