(NOOB ALERT!) How do I get tickets to American Idiot opening night 04/20/2010

I am sorry for this NOOB question, feel free to flame me, I can take the heat.

My 24th birthday is 04/20/2010 and I am a huge Declan Bennett fan. I wanted to know how I go about getting tickets to the opening night performance. Every site i go to about tickets has all days except for the 20th and 21st available.

I'm also a noob, ive never been to an opening, but i guess once they go on sale to the general public...sometime with the next 2 weeks....you can probably get opening tickets
right now theyre only in AMEX presale

Because this is a very high-profile show, it may be difficult to get opening night tickets. Usually, if shows are offering opening night tickets to the public, they will appear either on TDF or through an online purchase closer to the opening itself.

Get friendly with one of the producers fast. Opening night seats to popular shows are rarely available to the general public.

Aren't opening night seats usually for friends/family of the cast and the press?

Yea, I pretty much figured that.

I'm going to probably go to the final preview on April 19 or Saturday night April 17 anyways.
