This is a fascinating article on the whole Jeremy Piven - Speed The Plow controversy. from RC in Austin, Texas
Sushigate Etc.
This needs to be a play or something.
“We must have a second opinion,” Mr. Richards said in the message. “First we were told hepatitis. Then, Epstein-Barr now mercury poisoning. Who knows next it might be tb.”
"he said that he hoped to work on Broadway again"
It already is a play. "The Piven Monologues" performed at Joe's Pub.
Yeah, despite the fact that Mr. Piven's lawyer sent them a cease and desist.

Which, while hysterical, was not nearly as cool as would be an actual (satirical) play about the situation.
Interesting that the entire arbitration decision is now online. If I get really, really bored today I'll read it.

I read the whole thing. Frankly the arbitrator seemed inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to Piven and to make Jeffrey Richards look foolish. I am sure there is sufficient hindsight to make both sides wish they had acted differently. Much is made of Piven's never missing a show, and little of his reported inability to make half hour call.
