"I still can’t believe Hal Prince even knows who I am,” he said. “To work with him, I would’ve played a tree in ‘The Johnny Appleseed Story."-HAHA
God I love that man even more after reading that.

Posted: 4/1/07 at 6:58amI wonder if Gibson travels to all of his rehearsals with him. I know that she came to SWEENEY every night. What a lucky dog.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Wow, what amazing dedication! It's no wonder he's such a brilliant actor.
I can't believe he performed at Joe's Pub during a break in Lear in his costume!
But the article is right, he always was extremely dedicated--in addition to never missing a performance of Sweeney, he was performing at the Bowery that one night welll into after midnight, and the next night was back in another amazing Sweeney performance.
One can have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for that man.
