So I'm going to NYC on Friday, and I want to try to get tix to Billy Elliot. Has this been showing up on TKTS yet? I know it wasn't last week, but now that it's been previewing for a week, I was just wondering if anything has changed.
Also, I'm seeing Equus from the stage seats on Friday and [tos] Sunday evening, and hopefully BE, but I was just wondering what else people recommended.
And final question (sorry!) how is it trying to get tickets to South Pacific recently?

It's possible that Billy Elliot will be on TKTS, but if it wasn't for the early week performances, it is less likely to be on there for the weekend. I would recommend Boeing-Boeing or Speed-the-Plow.

I don't think Billy will be at TKTS at all during previews, and probably not after it opens either till it's not a big hit anymore.

Posted: 10/10/08 at 10:02amYou're probably out of luck with BE. It wasn't on TKS line last Saturday and the house was packed to the gills when I saw the Saturday matinee. I think that situation will hold until the show opens officially. If the press is positive, IMO all bets are off for any kind of discount for a long while. If the press is negative, the show will still be a hard ticket at least until the first of the year. January and February are traditionally the worst months of the year re: box office attendance and you might want to aim for those months, if you're going in be in town.
