So, I just discovered that I’ll be in town for pride. I for sure want to experience the parade, but in order to do so I’ll have to drop a show from my list. First off, is the parade worth experiencing over a show? I’ll either drop The Boys in the Band or Three Tall Women. Help! Thoughts on which show I should keep?

Boys seems pretty obvious to keep, since it is the gayest... but not sure Boys and Pride go together for most.

I should also state that I don’t know much about the plays themselves, but I love the casts of both.

I have done both. You just have to leave the parade before its over but I think I saw everything. Actually I've done it twice,in 2011 and 2014. I loved the parade. But also didn't want to waste a slot for a show. lol Do get to the parade early and settle on a spot on the right side of Broadway because you wont be able to cross the street.Good luck and have fun and I vote Boys in The Band.

The parade lasts well into the evening. Last year it ended around 9:30. The biggest floats and companies go earlier but the spirit is still there later on. Go for the kick-off at noon, see a 3:00pm matinee and return afterwards to take in the remainder. The crowds aren't as large and it's nice to root for and support the smaller groups who were waiting all day to march.

Boys in the Band do not have perfomances on Sundays (not sure why) and Three Tall Women's last performance is on Sunday June 24th at 3pm. Unless Three Tall Women gets an extension, I think that would be fun to see.

Also remember that all Bway shows will have pride playbills in the month of June.
