Thanks for all your input! The girls are leaning towards Gypsy. They reminded me that "our first broadway video was Sondheim AND Bernadette!" Into the Woods is a perennial fav around here. Their second favorite Sondheim show is....Assassins, I told you we were nuts.

. I'm 17 and I really didn't care that much for the Perducers show since I have seen It I stared to like the music more but I really didn't care for it that much. There where funny parts but I had seen it after just seeing HAIRSPRAY 2 times and I wasn't impressed that much. But I a Friend with me who is 16 and he loved every min of it so it really depends on the person. That can be true for all show but I just didn't care for it. Now If you want a Flashy show GYPSY isn't it it's a very low key show not big and flashy like the other 2 shows you have picked (if that makes sense). Now not that's that bad but at 12 I was more for the shows that had big dance and Lots of lights and all like HAIRSPRAY and Beauty and the beast. I haven't seen UTown but the music form it is good and it's funny and I think Millie is a very flashy show I really want to see both of them very badly I think I would pick Millie over Utown but that's just me. Also Don't Forget about Little Shop I'm going to see that tomorrow but it's said to be really good.

Producers is probably the funniest show I ever saw! We loved it, including my husband who hates musicals.
Saw Millie with a 15, 12, and 7 year old, and everyone was happy. Not as good as Producers, by a long shot.
My 7 year old summed up my thoughts on Gypsy--- "It was, like, OK, but Bernadette Peters is too little to be Mama Rose."
Hairspray is terrific! My kid's favorite show EVER (and she's seen most of them).
Saw Millie with a 15, 12, and 7 year old, and everyone was happy. Not as good as Producers, by a long shot.

That is too adorable! Her littleness kind of works with the irony that she was so intimidating and demanding, though. (It's always funny when a really small person has a twisted hold over people.) I read somewhere that the real Mama Rose was actually more similar to Bernadette's build and physical features than any Rose in the past.
