What's the buzz on NYMF this year?
I'm trying to figure out what shows to see any advice
Any must sees that you guys know of?
I loved WITHOUT YOU last year so anything of that type would be great
I'm also open to other things
Thanks

One of the shows "Just Like Magic" has a really funny video campaign going in which the star is trying to woo Sutton Foster into being his date to the NYMF opening night gala.

Posted: 9/6/11 at 8:55amI took last year off NYMF. Is this the first year the tickets are $25? The service fee puts them at $30, which I think is a bit ridiculous for something that's still halfway between a serious theatre festival and the Fringe.

Posted: 9/6/11 at 9:04amI'm a bit upset about the price too, so I limited myself to three shows - Greenwood, Ghostlight, and Kiki Baby. I decided on thses three due to the casting. Hope they are fun!

Yep, tix were $20 (plus the $3.95 fee) last year.
I saw 10 shows at NYMF last year, and right now I'm seeing all of *one* show (Kiki Baby) this year; nothing else has caught my attention yet.

Ghostlight has beautiful music. And an amazing cast, not to mention a great scenic designer.
The cast is amazing. I love Rachel York.

Posted: 9/6/11 at 1:34pmGhostlight is the only show I am interested in this year, and I bought my tickets when they first went on sale. There are already 2 days that are sold out, so I'm glad I did.

Posted: 9/6/11 at 3:12pmthe cast for Ghostlight seems to be top notch but, I heard the music on their website and decided to pass on tickets after that. I am seeing Madame X -The Musical/Balls instead. Good luck to all involved.
